sorry for the long wait between updates. but I became a little swamped starting my job and starting college. I've settled into a Monday/Friday
schedule to post the strips. This will be sort of a test run, if I can create 3 strips a week.. then I'll go with that. My goal at this moment
is to get caught up by at least a month ..if that is possible.
Also for those of you I promised to link too, I am working on it.. since it's the labor day weekend I plan to finish all the tweaks to this site..
so that means I'm going to update the links page and (crosses fingers) get the cast pages up. So that way you can see a who's who of major characters
in the strip.
well on the story front... some of you may be wondering what the hell is going on. Well I would tell you but I don't like to have to explain a joke.
What I will say is that the next few strips draw allot of there humor from the works of H.P. Lovecraft. For those of you who are in the know of
Mr. Lovecraft.. please ignore the rest of this rant. For those of you not in the know.. please continue reading... I'll give you a quick summary..
hopefully the major Lovecraft fans wont flog me for it.
Howard Philips Lovecraft is considered one of the fathers of modern horror. He's influenced modern horror writers such as Robert Bloch (Psycho),
Stephen King (the mist, the shawshank redemption), Clive Barker (Hellraiser, Undying), Neil Gaimen (Sandman) and others. He invented a
pretty popular series of short stories centering around incredibly powerful otherworldly creatures called the elder gods. These stories were called
the "cthulu mythos". Beasts so grotesque and strange. so beyond our imagination.. that just to glimpse one would be to lose once sanity...(hint, hint)
Now I could go on but I recommend picking up one of his books.. there are some collections out there at the moment. I do warn you though he gets
real wordy.. and can devote pages to exploring and explaining the geological shifts that caused the current walls to be formed. Yes I do groan every time
I hit one of those paragraphs that reads like a chapter.
later..
