March 15, 2004 Author: vaz Author Vanishing: Greetings; Me again. I just wanted to respond to the people telling us things like "I feel bad for not donating, I'm just really broke..." Please, don't worry about it. Read the comic and enjoy it. That's why we put it up for free. If you do have some money and you want to send it our way, then please do, but the donations are totally voluntary. That's part of what I was trying to explain. We could charge for the comic, but we choose not to. By the same token you can choose for yourself to donate or not. If it's a choice between eating for the week and giving us money, please eat. I also want to mention that donations of $5 are appreciated at least as much as the $50 donations. $50 donations are cool and all, but don't feel that we're checking the donations and saying "What? Only $5? What a cheap bastard!" For obvious mathematical reasons I'd rather have 100 people give me $5 then five give me $50. We honestly do like doing this comic. If we think we're going to have problems keeping it up, we'll start looking for alternatives. A few readers have given us suggestions and if we're having problems we'll look into them and ask for help. We want this to keep this going at least as much as you do. Anyway, the emails have been 100% supportive so far. This is actually what I suspected. That individual was expressing an opinion I'd been expecting since I started asking for donations, and one which I wanted to address even though I didn't think it would be in the majority. Thanks to everyone who reads us. Oh, and if I stop responding to emails to me please don't think I'm an elitist bastard or something. I just really hate people and get fed up with talking to them fairly quickly. I don't hate you personally, just as a species. ------------------------------ Author Vaz: UPDATE the reason there is no new comic was due to Ian from machall asking if I could do some filler while his commputer is getting worked on. So mosey on down to machall to see that. Also mailing tubes are in, so I can start sending out the prints in mass. Print Status Ok here's the deal, I went to my local shops and I couldn't find much in the way of mailing tubes. *i ended up only finding 4* so I ordered a bunch of mailing tubes. thing is they aren't supposed to arrive until the 23rd. so I'm sending them off slowly. sorry for the delay, I am sending off prints, but rather slowly. a very few at a time as money allows me to afford mail tubes. sorry for the delay, the prints are shipping. but they wont ship in bulk until I get the mail tubes i spent 50 dollars on. so that's the status on prints. i still need to send someone in the Netherlands a long over due drawing with some prints. Original arts auction yeah I'm going to have to do this since katsucon really fucked me over. so I'm eating my words and working on originals to sell comic: we lanned, I suck. But I am working on it now. However we did come up with a silly piece of fluff and posted it in thinking box.
